The Noby Nobriga Project was created in 1995 to serve as a solo project for Noby Nobriga. The idea was to introduce guest artists on various songs and albums to provide a diversity of sounds and textures to music directed by Noby Nobriga. Slow-moving, Noby eventually decided to strive forth solo on the music and was able to create a number songs, some rough, others requiring only a finishing polish. Five years after stagnation and picking at the pieces, in 2000, Rusty Spell (from Love and Letters Music) took the pieces, polished them a bit and compiled the songs together for a release under the duo's instrumental group Synthetic Fibers under the 'nikcuS Productions label. Now, in 2005, five years after the release of "The New Album" by Synthetic Fibers, The Noby Nobriga Project is back at work updating and rearranging those long forgotten tracks to release a Noby Nobriga Project album.
